Lawrence Coe manages New England Bioassay’s culture facility where he and his staff produce high-quality organisms used in toxicity testing. Mr. Coe completed a M.A. in Biology from Central Connecticut State University in 1997.
 


Before joining NEB in 1999, Larry was employed at the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection’s Kensington Hatchery, where he was involved in the culturing of Atlantic salmon. Mr. Coe remains an active volunteer in the Connecticut River Atlantic Salmon restoration program.

At New England Bioassay, Mr. Coe’s responsibilities include the design and improvement of standard culture procedures, the training and supervision of staff, and the maintenance of culture systems. Mr. Coe works closely with NEB managers to ensure ready availability of healthy, known-age test organisms that are properly acclimated to meet each client’s needs, whether these organisms are grown in-house or purchased from commercial suppliers. Larry is an avid photographer and is responsible for many of the photographs on this web site.
